MCU’s Bachelor of Science in Midwifery Program goals
The undergraduate program aims to prepare students to practice at the full scope of the Certified Professional Midwife credential through the demonstration of broad, integrative, and specialized knowledge.
The undergraduate program aims to prepare students to practice within their own communities and synthesize applied and collaborative learning. Students will engage in the perinatal care system professionally and ethically at all times

Personal Goals
Volunteer with local women’s centers and donate 1-2 births a year to help out as a doula.
Grow a garden, use all vegetables and herbs harvested, and share the extras with my local community.
Develop meaningful connections within my community of local birthworkers.
Academic Goals
Attend births with local preceptors and take the opportunity to grow from each one.
Take my time completing the MCU program in order to gain as much knowledge and understanding as possible before becoming a midwife.
Sit for and pass the NARM exam.
